Colocasia (Arbi) Curry (Chama gadda kura)

Ingredients:

Colocasia --- 1 pound
Cumin powder – ½ tsp
Coriander powder – ¼ tsp
Red chilli powder ---1/2 tsp
Salt --- Enough
Seasoning --1/4 tsp each
(Channa dal,Urad dal, Mustard seeds,cumin seeds)
Asafoetida --- Pinch

Procedure:

1. Wash Colocasia and boil in pressure cooker. Take out the peal and chop into small pieces.

2. Heat 4 to 5 Tsp of oil in a pan and prepare seasoning with all the seasoning ingredients. ( For this curry, more oil needed than usual)

3. When mustard seeds splatters, Add asafoetida and colocasia pieces.

4. Add cumin powder and coriander powder, salt, red chilli powder and mix well.

5. Add curry leaves and coriander leaves. Turn off the flame.

Delicious Colocasia curry is ready. Enjoy with hot rice.
