Beet root Curry

Ingredients:

Beet root --- 3
Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
Pea nuts ----1/4 cup
Sesame seeds – ¼ cup
Coriander powder –1/4 tsp
Cumin powder – ¼ tsp
Salt ---enough
Coconut powder ---2 tsp
Seasoning items --- ¼ tsp each
(Urad dal, channa dal, mustard seeds,cumin seeds)
Asafoetida ----Pinch

Procedure:

1.Dry fry peanuts and sesame seeds separately. And grind to powder.

2.Take out the peal for beet root and chop into small pieces.

3.In a pan, heat 2 or 3 tsp of oil and prepare seasoning with all seasoning ingredients.

4.When mustard seeds splatters, add asafoetida and beet root pieces. Cover with lid and let the curry cook.

5.Once the beet root are soften and well cooked, add peanut powder, seasame seeds powder, red chilli powder, dry coconut powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and salt. Mix well till all the ingredients mixed up. Cover with lid and let it cook for a while.

6.Add coriander leaves and curry leaves. Turn off the stove.

Beet root curry is ready. Eat with hot rice or chapathi.
