Chole(Dry Curry)


Chick peas ----------1 cup
Tomatoes--------------1 medium
Onion--------1 medium
Potato -------1 medium (Optional)
Chole masala--------1 tsp
Ginger garlic paste-------1 tsp
Turmeric powder-------1/4 tsp
Red chili powder-------1 tsp
Coriander leaves-------2 strings
Oil----2 tsp.


1.Wash and boil chick peas and keep aside.

2.Chop onions, potatoes (optional) and tomatoes.

3.In a pan, heat little oil. Add ginger garlic paste.

4.Add onions and little salt. Fry till onions turn to golden brown color.

5.Add tomatoes, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, chole masala powder. Cook till tomatos are cooked well.

6.Add boiled chick peas and enough salt. Mix all the ingredients well so that the flavors mix well uniformly. Cover with a lid for 5 more mintes.

7.Sprinkle with chopped coriander leaves.

Chole is ready. It goes well with parats, rotis, and zeera rice.
