Onion Pakodi


Besan --------------1 cup
Onion --------------2
Ginger -----------1/2 inch
Curry leaves ------5 to 10
Rice flour ----------2 tsp
Green chillis -----3 to 4
Salt -------------enough
Turmeric --------1/2 tsp
Asafetida----- Pinch
Oil --------------for frying


1.Chop onions in length wise.

2.Chop ginger, green chillis and curry leaves into small pieces.

3.In a bowl, mix besan, rice flour, turmeric powder, little hing , chopped onions, ginger pieces, green chillis, salt and little water . Mix well.

4.Onions will have little moisture. So, for crispy pakodas, no need to add water. If water becomes more, pakodas comesout softer.

5.Garlic is optional, if desided you can add too.

6.Heat oil in medium flame.

7.Take the besan mix little by little and deep fry in hot oil, carefully.

Onion Pakoda is ready.
