Sabudana- Curd Vada (Perugu Saggubiyyam Vada)


Sabudana ------ 1 cup
Curd -------------3 Tsp
Rice flour-------1/4 cup
Green chillis----2 or 3
Ginger-----------1/2 inch
Curry leaves----2 strings
Cumin seeds----1/4 tsp
Salt -------------enough
Black salt-------1/4 tsp
Oil---2 cups for frying


1.Mix curd and Sabudana and soak with water until saburana is totally immersed in water. Soak it for 2 to 3 hours.

2.Grind soaked sabudana along with ginger and green chillis. Grind it little coarse and not totally soft.

3.Mix rice flour in to grounded batter to make it tight.

4.Mix cumin seeds, asafoetida, salt into the batter.

5.Take little quantity and make circular vadas.

6.Deep fry in hot oil, on medium flame until vadas turn into golden brown color on all sides. Fry carefully.

7.Sprinkle little black salt on fried vadas before eating.

Tasty Saburadana – Curd vadas are ready.
