Sambar

Ingredients:

Toor dal----- 1 cup
Potatos------ 2
Cluster beans ---------1 cup
Peanuts -----1 cup
Fresh grated coconut---2 tsp
Sambar powder ---------2 tsp
Cinnamon -------1/2 inch
Turmeric powder ------1/4 tsp
Salt------enough
Tamarind pulp---1 tsp
Seasoning items:(Channa dal,urad dal, cumin seeds,mustard seeds,Asafoetida)
Curry leaves ------- 5 to 10

Procedure:

1.Chop all the vegetables.

2.Boil toor dal and chopped vegetables in pressure cooker for 2 or 3 whistles.

3.In a pan take little oil and prepare seasoning with all the season items.

4.Add boiled vegetables , boiled and mashed toor dal , add little water and make it gravish.

5.Add sambar powder, salt, tamarind pulp, turmeric powder and let boil all together.

6.Add grated coconut at the end and garnish with coriander leaves and curry leaves.

Hot hot sambar is ready.
