Spinach – Potato Curry


Spinach--1 bunch
Potatoes ------2
Red chilli powder---1/2 tsp
Sesame seeds---1/4 tsp
Seasoning itmes --1/4 tsp
(Urad dal,channa dal,mustard seeds, cumin seeds,Asafoetida)


1.Dry fry sesame seeds and grind to powder.

2.Wash thoroughly spinach and potatoes. Take out the peal to potatoes and chop potatoes and spinach into small pieces.

3.In a pan heat 2 to 3 tsp of oil and prepare seasoning with seasoning items.

4.Once the mustard seeds splatters, add asafoetida potato pieces.

5.Wait till potatoes are half cooked and add chopped spinach and mix well. Cover with a lid.

7.Once the spinach and potatoes are well cooked, add sesame seed powder, red chilli powder and salt. Mix well and cover with lid.

8.Garnish with coriander leaves and curry leaves and turn off the flame.

Palak-alu / Spinach –Alu curry is ready. This curry tastes good with rice and chapathis.
