Tomato Curry


Tomatoes –8
Green chillis ---3 to 5
Ginger – ¼ inch
Cumin powder – ½ tsp
Coriander powder –1/4 tsp
Methi seeds --- ¼ tsp
Salt--- Enough
Seasoning items –¼ tsp each
(Channa dal,Urad dal, Mustard seeds,Cumin seeds)
Asafoetida – Pinch
Coriander leaves ---2 strings
Curry leaves – 1 string


1.Dry fry methi seeds (Fenugreek seeds) to brown color and make into powder.

2.Tomato, ginger and green chillis chop into small pieces and keep aside.

3.In a pan, heat oil little oil and prepare seasoning with all seasoning ingredients.

4.When mustard seeds splatters, add Fenugreek powder ( Methi powder), asafoetida.

5.Add tomato ginger and green chili pieces. Fry well.

6.Add coriander powder, cumin powder, salt and mix well. ( If you like more spice, add little red chilli powder)

7.Add curry leaves and coriander leaves. Turn off the stove.

Very tasty Tomato curry is ready. It can be eaten along with rice / Chapathi /Puri.
