Tomato Dal


Tomato------4 Medium
Toor Dal ----1 Cup
Green Chillis ---4
Turmeric powder --- ½ tsp
Tamarind pulp--- ½ tsp
Seasoning items –1/4 tsp
(Urad dal, Channa dal, Mustard seeds)
Salt ----Enough


1.Wash Tomatos and Chop it into small pieces.

2.Wash Green chillis ,onion and chop into small pieces.

3.Wash toor dal and pressure-cook.

4.In a pan, heat oil and prepare seasoning with seasoning ingredients.

5.Add chopped tomatos and green chillis. Mix well.

6.Once tomatos are cooked, add cooked dal.

7.Add tamarind paste, turmeric powder and salt.

8.Cook for 5 more minutes until all the ingredients mix up and cook well.

9.Add curry leaves and turn off the stove.

Tomato dal is ready. Eat with rice or chapathi.
