Snake Gourd Perugu Pachadi

snakegourd curd curry 

Ingredients:

Snake gourd ---1 medium
Green chillis ---2
Curd/Yogurt----2 cups
Seasoning items --1/4 tsp each
(Channa dal,Urad dal,
Cumin seeds, Mustard seeds)
Asafoetida ------Pinch
Mustard powder-----1/4 tsp
Salt------for taste
Turmeric powder---1/4 tsp
Curry leaves -----4
Coriander leaves---1 string 



Procedure:

1. Wash snake gourd and chop into half-circle pieces.

2. Apply salt and turmeric powder to snake gourd pieces and leave aside for 15 minutes.

3. Squeeze out all the water from snake gourd and wash well.

4. In a pan, heat 2tsp of oil and cook snake gourd and chopped green chillis with covered lid, until snake gourd pieces become soft.

5. Prepare seasoning in different pan and add to curd.  Add salt, chopped curry leaves, coriander leaves  and mustard powder.

6. Add cooked and cool down vegetable to the curd and mix well.

7. Garnish with coriander leaves.

Delicious Snake gourd perugu pachadi is ready. It tastes good in rice and chapathi.
