Coconut Chutney

coconut chutney 

Ingredients: 

Fresh coconut pieces --- 1 cup
Green chillis --- 6-7
Tamarind paste --- ½ tsp
Urad dal – 1 tsp
Channa dal – 1 tsp
Mustard seeds --- ½ tsp
Asafoetida --- Pinch
Dry red chillis --- 3
Curry leaves --- 5
Oil ---- 2 tsp

 

 

Procedure: 

1.Heat oil in a pan and prepare seasoning with urad dal, Channa dal, mustard seeds, asafoetida, red chillis. When mustard seeds splatters, turn off the flame and keep the seasoning aside.

2. Grind half the quantity of prepared seasoning into powder.

3.Add chopped coconut pieces, green chillis, tamarind paste, salt and grind  to coarse paste.

4. Take the grounded chutney into a bowl and mix the remaining seasoning into chutney. 

Tasty coconut chutney is ready. Eat with hot rice and enjoy.
