Bottle Gourd Appalu

Idli Sambar

Ingredients:

Grated bottle gourd ------1 cup
Rice flour ------------------1 cup
Peanuts --------------------4 tsp
Channa dal --------------1/2 cup
Carrots --------------------2
Onion ----------------------1 medium
Green chillis -------------4
Curry leaves --------5 to 10
Mint leaves ---------few
Cumin seeds ----------1 tsp
Salt
Oil

Procedure:

1.Soak channa dal for one hour.
2.Grate the carrots.
3.Dry fry and grind the peanuts into a  Coarse powder.
4.Grind onion and green chilis.
5.In a bowl take grated bottle gourd ,cumin seeds,coriander leaves, mint leaves, cury leaves, salt, onion-chilli paste, grated carrots , soaked channa dal and peanut powder and mix well.
6.If you like more spice,  you can add chili powder as well.
7.Add rice flour and mix well. NO WATER is used.
8.Make small puris with the batter and deep fry in hot oil.

Bottle gourd appalu are ready.
