Tomato Bath Upma

Soji----2 cups |
Procedure:
1.In a pan, heat ghee and prepare seasoning with all seasoning items.
2.Add soji and fry well until raw smell is gone.
3.Chop onion, potato,green chillis and ginger into small pieces.
4.Chop tomatoes and grind into juice.
5.In a pan, heat oil add chopped onion, pototo, green chillis, ginger pieces and fry until oinion turns to golden brown color.
6.Add chopped curry leaves, coriander leaves, Turmeric powder.
7.Add tomato juice by measuring with cup. ( Tomato juice + water should be 4 cups.). If required add water.
8.Add enough salt.
9.Add fried soji and mix well. Cover with lid for 3 to 5 minutes and let soji get cooked.
10.Take off the lid and mix upma well and let it cook for 5 more minutes.
11.Turn off the stove, when Tomato upma is little watery. ( Water get absorbed later as well and gets to perfect consistency).
Tomato Bath is ready. Eat with Coconut chutney.
Tips: Tomato juice is also equal to water. So, tomato juice and water both should be measured while adding. Otherwise, Upma becomes very pasty. If you don’t like to grind tomatoes, you can chop and add to upma. In this case, add 11/2 cup of water for every 1 cup of soji.
