Sabudana Upma (Saggubiyyam Upma)

Ingredients:

Sabudana   – 2cups
Onion ---1 medium
Ginger ---2 Inches
Green chillis—3 to 5
Tomato---1 medium
Oil-------1 Tsp
Ghee----1 Tsp
Curry leaves – 1 string
Coriander leaves –2 strings
Turmeric powder- ½ tsp
Daliya  --- ¼ cup
Seasoning items – ¼ sp each
(Channa dal, Urad dal, Cumin seeds, Mustard seeds)

Procedure:

1.Soak Sabudana for 2 hours.

2.Boil water and add sabudana. Sabudana becomes transparent and bulges little

3.Drain the boiled sabudana and wash with cold water and keep aside.

4.Chop onion, green chillis and ginger into small pieces.

5.In a pan, heat oil and prepare seasoning with all seasoning items.

6.Add chopped onion, green chillis, and tomatoes ginger pieces and fry until onion turns to golden brown color.

7.Add chopped curry leaves, coriander leaves, and Turmeric powder.

8.Add enough salt.

9.Add boiled sabudana to the fried onion mix and mix well. Cover with lid for 3 to 5 minutes and let murmura upma get cooked.

10.Powder daliya to fine powder and add it to the upma. Mix well.

11.Cover with lid for few more minutes. And turn off the stove.

Sabudana Upma is ready.
